What does it cost?
Posting and comparing bids is free, with no card. A small service fee applies when you book a pro; it covers escrow payment protection. You see the total before you confirm.
When do I pay for the work?
You fund escrow before work starts. After reviewing the completed work and photos, you approve the invoice and the payment releases to the pro.
What if the job needs more work than expected?
You and the pro discuss scope changes in the in-app chat. Any added amount appears on the final invoice, which you review and approve before payment releases.
Can I start on the web?
Yes. Create your HomeFix account and post a job on the web, or use the HomeFix app. Your account works in both.
Are the pros verified?
Every pro completes identity verification before they can bid. Need license or insurance details for a specific job? Ask in the in-app chat; pros can share documents before you hire.
Can I use it for rental-property repairs?
Yes. Post the work you need, compare bids, and review the contractor’s completion photos before approving the invoice. You can also repost a completed job with its details pre-filled.
Which app should my business use?
Use JobPro to find and bid on customer jobs. Use Field to manage your own quotes, jobs, schedule and invoices. They are separate apps. Field uses your own Stripe account for payments; marketplace escrow is separate.
