Referral rewards are taxable income.

  • If you earn $600 or more in a calendar year from referrals, we may request a W-9 and issue a 1099 (NEC/MISC)
  • Even below $600, the IRS generally requires you to report the income
  • As a contractor, you likely report this as business income on your taxes
